Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers. 3 John 1:2 NKJV

Greetings Bethel AME-Leavenworth Church, Family and Friends,

Happy New Year! Can you believe it is 2022?

I know it has been a tough few years for all of us since we entered into the Covid-19 Pandemic, but we are still here!! God has sustained us during this, and we are praying and believing God will sustain us still.

Bethel will remain in hybrid format (in-person and online) for worship and Bible Study. You are welcomed to attend in either format, whichever is your preference and for your safety.  God wants us to be healthy and whole as we continue to navigate through this year. We will soar to higher heights in our faith-walk with Christ, this year and beyond.

As we soar to higher heights in our faith-walk with Christ, let us exercise our faith-walk by continuing to keep in contact with each other, be in prayer for one another and continue to spread the Good News of Jesus Christ as God sustains us.

I love you and I need you to survive!

God bless you and keep you is my prayer.

Pastor Vicky

What We Believe

Apostle Creed

Apostles' Creed

I believe in God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth, and in Jesus Christ his only son our Lord who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead; and buried. The third day he arose from the dead’ he ascended into heaven and sitteth at the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from thence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Church Universal, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body and the life everlasting. Amen.

Sacraments

There are two Sacraments ordained of Christ our Lord, in the Gospel; that is to say,  Baptism and the Supper of the Lord.

Baptism

Baptism is not only a sign of profession, and mark of difference; but it is also a sign of regeneration, or the new birth. The baptism of young children is to be retained in the church.

The Lord's Supper

The Supper of the Lord is not only a sign of the love that Christians ought to have among themselves one to another, but rather is a Sacrament of our redemption by Christ’s death; insomuch, that to such as rightly, worthily, and with faith receive the same, the bread which we break is a partaking of the body of Christ; and likewise the cup of blessing is a partaking of the blood of Christ.
